Sometimes We Just Need Help

Things like common colds come and go and we seem to survive and deal with them quite well. However, there are times when caustic bacteria just gets ahead of our immune system and we need help. It seems to me that we would have to have our heads in the sand to not realize that, that is the position we find ourselves in as a nation.

An unwholesome bacterium of sin has just overcome our families our communities and our nation. It is at a place that the ordinary institutions just can no longer deal with it. It seems to me that our politicians so badly want their jobs that they promise cures for these ills that they just cannot deliver. I think that this is the case with such promises as are delivered in programs such as, “No Child left Behind” and also, “Common Core”. Depending on your bias you get behind one or the other, however due to the “bacteria” within our system neither work and in the end only create greater problems.

The truth is that we have a religious problem. We have become an ungodly people without good moral preservatives and restraints. The problem is at the “core” but not the core of our curriculum but rather at the core of our souls. And that is a religious problem. The thing that I find that is really crazy is that even we as the people of God expect our political leaders to solve this and are critical of their inability.

You cannot build a stable house without good materials and you cannot build a stable nation without a moral people. Our institutions only reflect the nature of our society. You cannot cure a cold with more germs and America will not survive without a revival.
