Missions

We, here at Bethel, are just beginning a month long emphasis on mission work. It is so easy and common for us to confine mission work to what we do overseas or in another state or even another city and forget that missions is the entire and only work of the Church.

Over the next two Sundays I am going to attempt to do a study of the objective of missionary work. It is my observation that we have left much of the necessary work of missions undone. It reminds me of the days of my youth when we were sent to clean the barn. As teenagers we were prone to do only the “obvious” and leave much undone. That undone work would come back to haunt us.

So today much of what has been left undone is coming back to haunt us. I invite you to join us as we do a Biblical study that attempts to unveil the full work of missions.
