It just seems to me that we as believers often seem to just gloss over some very profound and amazing truths. Not the least of these things is the matter of life. Notice with me this verse:
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
When we find someone to be dead that brings such great sorrow to us. Is there a corresponding joy when we find someone to be alive?
Just today I heard from a former young person from a church that I pastored many years ago. She is now a mother of four and is faithfully following the Lord. That is the true evidence of real conversion and spiritual life. On the other hand there are those times (altogether too many of them) when we hear of those who have made a profession of faith who are not following the Lord. These are those who give no evidence of life and the cause is an empty profession that has not resulted in life.
The Scriptures and the Holy Spirit have the power to change lives forever for the good of the individual, but it requires a genuine faith and repentance. Has your life been changed?
