Fear

What ought to be your greatest and real fear is something that you need never fear!

Psalm 49:5 Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil, when the iniquity of my heels shall compass me about?

Every individual born to this earth will one day stand before God to give an account of himself. That is indeed a dreadful thought. It is typical to image many false securities regarding that time. To account just a few they would be:

1) “God is a God of love and He would never condemn a soul to hell.” Wrong; the Scriptures are clear that apart from an honest confession of sin and repentance condemnation cannot be escaped.

2) “My good works will out-weigh my bad deeds. Wrong; again the Scriptures are clear that good works cannot save.

3) “I am sincere in my belief and attempt to live life well”. Wrong; the Scriptures are clear that only a personal trust in Christ can save.

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

It is vitally important that you anticipate the future and in that anticipation search God’s Word the Bible and find the only solution for sin’s penalty and that is Christ. God in His love sent His son to redeem you from the penalty of sin and there is no other escape. I urge you to learn of that and put your trust in His gracious provision.
