The book of Ecclesiastes is all about facing the great reality of life. It will eventually come to an end and most often sooner than you would expect. And that would be acceptable except for a reality that few often consider early enough in life and it is this:
Ecclesiastes 3:11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart,
The phrase, "He hath set the world in their heart..." is the observation that man has an innate sense of eternity and as a result of that at some point in life every thinking man will acknowledge, so what have I done with my life! God has revealed the future to us and along with that the purpose of our lives here on earth. He has done this so that we may live with confidence, happiness and face eternity with joy.
