We have been spending a lot of time studying prophecy. In the weeks ahead we will be looking at what is called the “whore” of the great tribulation. This is indeed not a pleasant picture.
It is a metaphor used by the Holy Spirit that speaks of a coming world system that is comprised of man, his ideas and his utter rebellion against God. Certainly we see this creature growing as such ungodly things as lesbianism and transgender issues are not only welcomed but also applauded in our land. Isn’t it interesting to see that such “talk”, as what I have just stated is characterized as hate-speech and unpatriotic?
Folks with views that are contrary to this can characterize us as haters and call for our elimination with open hatred and malice and that is ok. It seems these days as though freedom of speech is made available only to those who disdain God and His values. I assure you that the “whore” is well on her way in our world. This is the one that in her whorish activity and ways takes the world out of the hands of its rightful owner and gifts it to herself. It is the sad state of affairs that will mark the end times.
We however as the children of God look forward to not only better days but also to the coming of our Savior who has said that He will keep us from these troubling days that will come:
Revelation 3:9-10
Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
