Economics

It seems to me that we are told in these days that economics is an extremely complicated subject and is understood only by a few. That, I believe, is a smoke screen to cover what some are doing to ruin our nation. It would seem to me that at the root, economics is a very simple matter. The only real source of wealth is this earth. We have in this planet everything we need for the supply and for the advancement of the world’s population. Wealth is not found in banks or industry or education. Wealth is found in the earth and that wealth is extracted by our farmers, our miners, our foresters, our fishermen and any others that extract from the earth its abundant resources. It would seem to me that the ecology movement has done all it can to strangulate that wealth. I am fully in favor of using this earth with a good and faithful sense of stewardship, but to restrict the responsible use of natural resources is foolish and counterproductive.

Free enterprise has been extremely efficient in its use of this wealth and making it available to all of us. Today it seems that our government is attempting to secure its own hold on that wealth and by that to control our nation and its people. That it would seem is contrary to the convictions of our founders and our constitution. Wealth is not a problem, the problem is men and greed and those who scramble for power over others. Wealth is a gift from God that has been given to mankind in the earth that He has created for us. We need to learn to manage it with integrity.

Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Psalm 24:1- A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
