An Annual Reminder

Published on 12/28/15

It is time for my annual reminder to consider and commit to a regular Bible reading habit for the coming new year. The Bible is the sole, totally objective link that we have with God. If we are to learn about God and live an honest and realistic Christian life it requires a disciplined and regular reading of the Bible. Notice this particular Scripture passage that speaks of this:

Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

This text states plainly that the transformation of our lives comes as a result of renewing our minds. It also states that the “bottom line” of living a dedicated and obedient Christian life is achieving that transformation. So………..I encourage you again;

Get the Bible reading habit, And daily keep right at it, ‘til you read your Bible through, Clear through!

Bible reading schedules are available in the foyer at the church.
