The Scriptures are abundantly clear regarding the times that are ahead for this earth. It reminds me of the words of the apostle Paul, when he said if we have hope in this life only we are of all men most to be pitied.
Recently I have read a couple books about the Mid-East and I find it so interesting to see how things are coming together in a way that is so consistent with Bible prophecy. Looking at the current conditions of geo-political structure is both discouraging and frightening. Robert Baer in his book, “The Devil We Know”, does not hold out much hope for the way we are currently attempting to curtail the aggressive forces of Iran. It seems that in our efforts to stabilize the Mid-East that mostly we have just traded one ruthless and aggressive dictator for another.
The truth is that wickedness is just a run-away train and the only hope for this world is Jesus Christ. Forces like the U.S. and Great Britain have the ability to restrain things for a time, but there just simply is no cure apart from the return of our Savior. It would be wrong I believe, not to appreciate and even cooperate with these restraining efforts and influences, but to trust in them for a solution is vain.
The only ones that will make it to the day of true peace and safety and solution, if you wish to call it that, will be the ones who are trusting in Jesus Christ, so let us be faithful in sharing the Gospel and as the Scripture says, “snatching” folks from the flames of Hell. We as the people of God are the only ones who hold the real solution in our hands.
