Zechariah 8:12
For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.
This portion of Scripture looks forward to the wonderful time when God will again restore His blessing to Israel and the earth will blossom with His peace and goodness. What a wonderful day that will be.
According to the book of Isaiah all of the nations will be blessed in the blessing of Israel. Those within the other nations that know the Lord will in that day enjoy these great and abundant gifts of God.
Isaiah 66:10-11
Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her:
That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.
While we walk today in a sin-cursed world and endure the darkness and rudeness of our days we need to look forward to the wonderful future that is ours in Jesus Christ. Nothing can rob us of that future. Death cannot separate us from the promised blessings ahead.
Let us face this New Year with the hope given to us of God. Whatever the near future holds the ultimate future is bright with all the fullness and blessings of God.
