This is the week of our annual missions conference here at Bethel. The messages from our missionaries have been of particular blessing. They are dealing with root issues of God’s business and how it applies to us as followers of Christ. These messages will soon be available on our web site and I encourage you to avail yourself of these rich opportunities.
Over and again we are being reminded that this gospel ministry is first, foremost and always God’s business. It is not ours to dabble with, alter or reorganize with our own “wisdom” or creativity. Gospel work is accomplished solely by the energy of God’s word and the Holy Spirit, it is a high, holy and sacred work. Apart from God’s activity our actions are vain and useless. I believe these are very important reminders these days when we have begun to so trust in our own industry and creativity. May God help us to always be faithful co-workers with Him.
